Security home checks:

One of the most popular additional services we offer is a security home check. Please contact us for prices.

Security home checks are services provided to ensure the safety and security of a home when you are away, during vacations, business trips, or extended absences. These checks are typically conducted by professional security companies, neighbourhood watch programs, or sometimes pet sitters and dog walkers who offer an added layer of security, so this is where we can help!

What´s included:

1. Inspect the Exterior:
   Checking for any signs of forced entry, broken windows, or doors, and making sure all locks are intact.
2. Monitor the Property:
   Ensuring there are no suspicious activities or individuals around the property. They may walk around the property to check for potential security risks.
3. Bring in Mail and Packages:
   To avoid leaving evidence that no one is home, the service provider may retrieve mail, newspapers, or packages that may have been delivered while the homeowners are away.
4. Check Doors and Windows:
   Ensuring that all windows and doors are securely closed and locked.
5. Turn Lights On/Off:
   Some services will rotate lights or use timers to make the home appear occupied and deter potential burglars.
6. Check for Maintenance Issues:
   In some cases, the service might include ensuring that there are no issues like a water leak, broken pipes, or other property maintenance concerns.
7. Setting Alarms and Security Systems:
   Ensuring that any security alarms, cameras, or monitoring systems are set up and functioning correctly.
8. Report Any Issues:
   If anything unusual is found during the check, the provider will typically notify the homeowner, either immediately or after the check.

Security home checks give you, the homeowner peace of mind by helping to deter potential break-ins or damage and making sure their property is safe and secure in their absence.

Key pick up and drop off: €5

In order for us to get into your property while you are away, we will need a set of keys and we usually collect these from you during our initial consultation, however if that is not possible and we need to travel again to collect them, a small fee of €5 will be charged.

There are also other options. A lockbox on the outside of the house/apartment. If a concierge or reception is available, keys can be left there for the pet sitter to take. Another option is to leave a door unlocked with the keys inside. The sitter can lock the door after each visit, and leave the keys inside with the door unlocked on the last visit. Keys can also be hidden around the house for the sitter to take at the first visit. Depending on your preference, we can return the key to the same spot after the last visit, or keep it for future visits. If neither of the above are possible, or when preferred, we can also arrange a key pickup and/or key dropoff which costs 8euros.

Pet Supplies

Whether you have ran out of dog food, cat litter, or treats, we can be there to pick up any pet related shopping so you don´t have to. Just let us know before your return.

Welcome back pack

Another popular service amongst our regular clients is making sure there are supplies in the home in time for when they return from their trip. This can be anything from the basics, such as bread, milk and coffee, to champagne, chocolates and anything else the client may want upon their return. As well as looking after your pet, we can also look after you and will go that extra mile to ensure your return home is perfect. Please contact us for more information. (We can also supply a Luxury Welcome Home box if you have guests with you for example and wish to make it a little bit special). If you need a more bespoke option, please let us know!
